Got out this morning for an easy 30 minute run (http://tinyurl.com/9gqfs). Took my mp3 player with and I definitely think I will be setting up a playlist to pump me up Sunday morning before the race. I am still a running purist when it comes to race day. It's just me and the race baby! But a little music beforehand will be a great way to set the mood.
We had a TNT info meeting tonight that went well. I think we got a large group to sign up and a few that sound like they will definitely sign up before kickoff. I also got another donation today! Big thanks to everyone for all your generosity!!!
I was reminded tonight at the meeting that my "A" goal is not my only goal. I guess in the back of my mind I knew that but it was good to have someone actually ground me a bit. I have been very blessed the past year and a half that I have met or exceeded all of my major race goals, so I have built up this all or nothing mind set. But it is not all or nothing! This race doesn't define who I am as a person or as a runner. There will definitely be more races,more marathons, and more "A" goals in my future.
So here they are folks, my Columbus Marathon A,B, and C Goals!
A= 3:25 or faster, that's right 7:49 minute miles
B= 3:30 8:01 Pace
C= PR (Anything under 3:39:42)
Worst Case Scenario I raised a good chunk of money for a great cause and I will be down in Columbus with my family and good friends for my 24th birthday! My official TNT honoree will be completing her first half marathon and a large group of new friends will be crossing their first marathon finish lines, now that is an amazing thing!

Hey nice blog! Nice to find a runner who runs around my same stomping grounds! Good luck this weekend in Columbus!! Looking forward to the race report.
Thank you! I will have to check out your blog!
How does bloglines work? On Xanga, it automatically tells me when someone has updated their blog (if they are xanga users).
