Official Race Photos

Damn they're quick!

I don't look too bad on the bike, now if I can just figure out how to go faster ;)

Thanks to Vickie for these post race photos, you can see me talking to my parents and to my husband on the phone in the background.

More race day pics and a run down to come soon.

Until then you get to hear about my track workout last night.

It was hard!!! And that pretty much sums it up. We did a pace workout where you paced your partner through half of each of their intervals and they did the same for you. So I ended up with a workout that looked like this:

400 pace
800
200 pace
400
400 pace
800
200 pace
400
400 pace
800
200 pace
400

Highlights were all three of my 800s under 3:10. Low lights: none of my quarters were close to 80 seconds. (But they were all under 90 seconds so I guess I can cut myself a bit of slack)

Trying to get back into marathon training mode. I have a 15 miler on tap for this weekend, hopefully I will be able to get out and do that on the trails. Multitasking preparation for Chicago and JFK!

Wow great workout. Look forward to seeing more pictures!

The pre-race pictures look great - great mile splits (I'm one of the number geeks) - I can't get over you guys running a half marathon AND doing the swim & bike. Congrats on your finish - you rock!

Running a marathon is a good way to multitask in prep for JFK.

Elizabeth,
You are an animal! Track workouts, tris, marathons and more. Wow! Keep it going!

Love the smiles in the race photos and the hands in the air at the finish line. That's a tip I read somewhere - not to immediately stop your watch because they're taking your picture at that moment.

Nice track splits.
I'll follow along as you marathon train while I do the same.
I'm in for a 16-miler this weekend.

ouch.

No rest for the IRON girl. That's a tough track workout, can't wait till you do the 50 miler and maybe I will see you passing me during the Chicago marathon. Great race pics and matching helmet.

Yay for multi-tasking!

And you're right - we're young still. No need to have all the answers already - otherwise what else would be the point of the rest of our lives?! :)

You look awesome in your "official" race photos. Honestly, I'm so bummed that mine didn't come out well, at least by my vain standards. One of these days, I'm going to look like a model when I'm crossing the finish...:)

Great workout and nice pics. Ahhh the technology, the cellular after the races! Here the general manager of the Juventus football club got into the troubles because he used his cellular BEFORE the games (to call the referees).
