Tampa Photos

One of my "pacees" friends got a couple shots of us at the Tampa Marathon and was kind enough to pass them along!

Must have been a mile marker ahead in the running shot. Otherwise no clue what I was looking at!

On a disappointing note my lucky orange shades broke this week :( Those shades were with me for my PRs in the 50 mile and 5K last year!

Well, it's time for new luckier shades and new PRs, right?

And here's my stupid novice question of the day: does that pacer sign get burdensome when you're running over 26 miles?

I realize it's probably not too heavy, but I'm interested in how you adjust to having to carry a big stick for all that time. Perhaps they could give you a hat. Or perhaps this is a silly thing to ask (then again, I didn't know there were pacers before last September).

Cute pics! Sorry about the shades.

I like the new blog color! You look great in the pics. You are turning into an expert pacer - how many now? Three or four?

Well, I guess it's time to replace the lucky shades with a nice pair of lucky running legs.

Wait, I think you've already done that.

Maybe you could give me those broken shades and with a lil' ducktape I'll be in business, eh?

I'd whistle but it's hard to do over comments on a blog. The first pic, are you watching a bird fly by?

I might get to pace at Louisville. 5:30. I need a slow long run that weekend anyway. I think that qualifies.

As for lucky sunglasses, um I'm guessing you're just as fast with a cheapo deluxe.

oh well. just in case. i think the last photo looks like a shot for the girl band Pinkie and the Space Monkeys.

Were they ING shades?? If they were I have a few I could send you, we've ended up with a ton of them thanks to ING Georgia and ING Miami.
