!@#$%#@! Mother Nature!

That's right. She's done it again.

What do I have on tap this morning? 20 Miles.

What does Mother Nature give me to work with?

Ice, Ice, and more Ice. The whole city is covered in it.

Seriously, this is getting old!

I can't believe I woke up at 5:30 for this.

If it's any consolation we're getting our plans screwed up in other parts of the U.S. Lots of rain means wet trails, which means no riding. Spring has to be on the way, right?

yup- I was up at 5:30 this morning for my run too. It's going to end up being an afternoon treadmill run.

Damn Cleveland winters!

LOL, the weather needs to give us a break. Later this afternoon it may clear up some??????? Or maybe next month.

Oh my word! Please tell me that isn't going to keep coming East?

Amen, sister! My plan was a 10 mile race and a 10 mile run afterward, but Jack Frost decided to screw with us just a little bit more. (I wonder what the Beltway looks like!)

The groundhog needs to be fired. Stay safe out there.

It is getting old!!! I do agree, I hope you manage to squeeze the miles in somehow.

Yuck!! Keep that stuff up there. We are starting to warm up down here. If we could just calm down the winds, things would be just about perfect.
Sorry about your messed up run.

Ice is no fun to run in. I hope it thawed out for you.

Yes I'm ready for some dry weather. This weather makes a total mess of trail running also.

Time to bring on the sun..

I'm in Houston, so we get the opposite problem... for 6 months out of the year, our heat index is about 90 with 100% humidity BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP. I did run the Columbus Marathon in October of 2003 and loved the weather as compared to here. My hat is off to you for dealing with the ice.

Boooooooooo!

Good thing I just had 5, and did it in shorts when it all melted! hee hee ;)

Hope you got it in somehow and didn't wipe out! You're right...it's getting so old. March is this week, yahoo!

Ugh!! I can't believe you're already up to 20 for the Pig!!!

Did you make the run? The roads down south of Brecksville weren't too bad and we ran on the Buckeye Trail (stuck to the snow parts).

Janet Edwards said...

Yeah, probably a good idea to delay our run...except it had me bothered for most of the day yesterday...stupid weather!

So we rented some movies and at least I got in a 3+ hour trainer ride.

I am stuck splitting up my 20 today, got in 10 this AM, 10 more tonight!!

where do you live? cleveland? what month is it? febbywarry? you must embrace the ice. like i've learned to embrace the permafilm we have from december to mid feb. the film is oil and sweat and whatever else you add to your body and it is muggy.

must.
embrace.
weather.

and see? speedy legs came after this. so it's not really like it's bad for you. builds character. why i used to walk in this weather on my ears! through tornadoes both ways.
