Have I mentioned...

that I am running 50.2 miles in less than 48 hours?

Oh and can I say that I think that JFK is participating in age discrimination (thanks JC!). Age group awards go to 19 and under, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up, oh and top 5 women top 10 men. What happened to 20-40??? AKA me.

Oh well I will just have to aim for top 5 (Just Kidding!)

Haven't packed or printed my official list of stuff. Beginning to freak out!

On a pleasant note I had the most wonderful run last night with JC. The weather was cold and rainy and windy but I could not have had a better time. Running the perfect pace with a good friend cannot be beat! For a brief 50 minutes or so I completely forgot about the task I have mapped out for Saturday and had no worries.

Oh and it must be said now in case I forget GO BLUE! I expect to get the good word of us defeating the bucks upon finishing my little Saturday task.

Good Luck Elizabeth, I'm sure you'll smoke the course, all (gulp) 50 miles of it....for me, some days, that's even a long ride, much less run.

All the best this weekend Elizabeth. Sorry I've lost touch... I hope your hamstring cooperates.

I'm trying to catch up with everyone's blogs and get back to my own on a more regular basis but it's probably not going to happen until the New Year.

Dude, it would be totally fun to run with you, at least for part of this race. 50 miles is pretty darn far. Just to give you a head's up, a few of us ran the 13 miles on the AT in 2:45, and were running as fast as we could. The rocks and leaves out on the AT DESTROYED us. But it was SUPER FUN! 10:00 is a great goal, and definitely within reach.

50 miles--just one foot in front of the other until they tell us to stop. No thinking allowed.

SOOOOO cool! Take it easy.

running 50.2 miles in less than 48 hours?

that's like... a little less than 1 mile an hour. i think you really need to work on that speed, you're almost as slow as me!

my husband barracks (not roots, that's a baaaad word in australia) for the essendon bombers. their arch nemesis are the boys from carlton. the blues. i'm sure he'll understand that in this case, it's okay to go for the blues. he just might have to avoid a scene and barrack for the wolverines.

personally, i just barrack for the u.c. santa cruz banana slugs... for obvious reasons.

GO EBIZALETH!
