Polar Plunge

Was Freezing! But I made the front page :) (okay only my little head made it into the background, but still!)

Glad MC didn't make it. Running in and out was quite enough this year, so no swim for me :)

I was fully spirited though with body marking, my floral bikini, shades, and a tropical wrap!

Wow! You are so tough! Took the plunge in frigid water, then stood around w/ swim top on for pics, ha!
Loved the 2 pics, and you are really getting your money's worth out of those orange glasses...lol.

OMG!!! I can't believe you were one of the ones that did that! I saw a news clip here in the VA & thought to myself "you've got some major big ones to do that". Maybe you can change your name to "speedy polar"..:-)

Cold...I used to do a polar plunge every new year, after running a 5-miler. Now I just do a 50K trail run. I don't know which is more invigorating.

Happy Trails and Happy New Year,
Bad Ben

My gf and I just joined the ymca last night because the water temp is too warm at the club we'd been going to.

Looks like we've got a long way to go before '09 comes around!

Wow!!! Now I know, next year, I have to do the polar bear plunge in my pond...or maybe go down to Salt Fork Lake, where the carp won't eat me!

Hello, I came across your blog as I was searching for like-minded runners in Ohio. You are in Ohio? I must say i am impressed with your running prowess. Ive always ran but my wife and I are now running more competitively. Im in Cincy and still havent the courage to try the Pig full marathon, even though ive run at least half of it hundreds of times. I guess the hills of Eden Park will do that? Anyways, I look to keep reading your posts.

Sorry I missed it.
You have style. Way to represent the East side!

You were braver than I was. I couldn't do it - seeing the slush along the edge of the lake sealed the deal for me!

Charlie I think that is the first and only time anyone will ever tell me I have style :) Thanks!

BRRR! I think I'll do a PP in.....Florida, or maybe Jamaica!

Happy New Year!

Style! Absolutely ... in swimming there are all sorts of styles, like free style. The butterfly is also a style, which could be considered a little weird. Then again, so could doing a polar plunge. I like that your style is the same as everyone else.

Love the floral wrap and shade but I'm shivering just looking at this! It's so nice to know there are people in the world who are also the good kind of crazy. :)
