No Lights

Well we got half way to Columbus before the snow storm hit. The roads were terrible but we made it down and had a nice lunch and chat with one of my dear friends from my younger life. Lights were out of the questions as by that time it was slushing. Thankfully the slushy ride back was better than the snowy one there. The run this morning in the rain will be interesting. And the drive home in 50 mph winds and snow should be even more interesting.

Run yesterday went great. Legs are feeling peppier. Still think I will bag the 20 this morning and go for a more reasonable 12-17 though.

The things we do in the name of endurance, fitness, craziness...

So the unstopable E has tired legs. I'm sorry to hear that your human :)

Spent some time with your friend Amie yesterday in Red's group. Longest training run I've ever done for a half at 17 miles. Believe it or not I think there was more talking this week even without your enthusiasm. I didn't think it was possible but we picked up the slack.

bah. anyone can run when it's sunny and nice out. running in weather makes you hardcore. or, in your case, e-core.

that's crazy. i'm going out onto the balcony in just my towel to ponder the cold days you've had. pardon me, but my hammock awaits.

Glad your legs are feeling better.

So is 17 an easy day?

E -- sorry that you had to miss the lights. I was yearning to see them last night myself - an (accidental) part of our tradition was to go on the worst weather day in December. One year in Toledo we had sleet and ice pellets - the reindeer didn't seem to mind, though!

Instead, I continued my weather-wuss trend and huddled up inside yesterday.

Come back some time when the weather is nice, try the noodles at Noodles and Company, and run the riverbanks.

Be careful in that wind, and have a nice holiday!

I just drove by Blossom music center yesterday and they have some sort of light display up if you're really hankering to see some lights.

When I was your age I was still in "my younger life." Whether you are mature or I was immature I'm not sure......probably both ;-)
