We decided. We went with Paivi for our little orange girl and Amenti for our little Tortoise girl.
Paivi was a friend of David's in Finland. It is regularly spelled with an umlaut but this is how we will spell it for our girl. Amenti was the Egyptian mistress of Amun sometimes know as the hidden goddess. As we already had a scare this morning with her hide and seek games I think it is very appropriate.
I let Monte in to meet and greet with them tucked safely in the carrier. At first he didn't even notice their presence (they are quiet!). On closer inspection there was hissing shared between Monte and Paivi but hopefully with time they will become close friends.

Cute kitties with good names. We have one old lady here - the beautiful Charlotte is 12 years old. The boys were very young when we got her, they picked her name. They thought it was the most beautiful name they knew. Funny boys!

I've had Danny Boy since 2003, and in late 2005, when my then-boyfriend, now-husband moved in with me, we took in a stray that we named Taka. The first six months were a disaster -- they HATED each other! I couldn't find another home for Taka and was seriously considering just taking her to the Humane Society (and I think people that do that are awful). Then, things settled down. They're not the best of friends, but they respect each other and even occasionally cuddle when they think we're not looking. :)

i just sent a book to a woman in finland. i love their names. so many umlauts.
very good lookin' laydeez. i'm sure when he establishes who is boss (the laydeez), everything will settle. mine hiss after a year, but they'll sleep next to each other. psychos.
