Our whirlwind trip to Manistee for the weekend is over. The weather was brisk and the forest was beautiful. I had a great time and my legs actually feel better than they did before and during the marathon. This week will be a serious back off week for me, I think my legs are due for some pampering. I'll have a recap up once I get caught up with my real work at the office and in the home! (It may be awhile ;))

Post Race with our goodies
Note: The beer is mine! Solar apparently thought a regular coke was too many calories right after the marathon and had a diet cola ;)

You 3 rocked up there! Rest up woman as we got more fun runs in the near future to come up with!!!
Judging from the great photos, looks like you had another awesome race!
Late congratulations for your great 50 k. If the mushrooms are poisoned please send me a couple, they could be a nice present for some "friends" of mine.
Glad to hear things are going well.... I'm looking forward to making it out to some races... or practice runs sometime soon.... I wonder.... did you find any funny mushrooms?
Awesome.
When I think back to this time last year, it boggles my mind to see how far (literally) you've come.
Its truly amazing what you've accomplished since your first ultra, only one year ago!
you look great, liz! congrats on your race!
Great pictures E. Congrats on your race . . . the mushrooms are a little freaky though . . . where's the troll?
The picture with your feet up is classic! I love it
I hope if you picked the mushrooms you were with someone who knows which ones to pick.
I've read stories about people dying from eating wild mushrooms.
If a girl named Alice and a white rabbit give you any bring some to me.
Cute photos. Pamper those legs!! They need it!
Many moons ago my mate Mitch made me marvel at marathons and mushrooms.
Congrats on finishing another one...I look foreward to hearing about it.
Nice mushrooms.
Congrats and enjoy the pampering.
Congrats to you on an awesome race (I see your age group awards!). I love the Big M trails. I'll be there again next year running the 50 miler. Hopefully I'll see you there.
What's up with the 'shrooms????
Great job on another race! You are a rocketship!
clearly everyone missed the obvious link between the mushrooms and running a marathon .... which is ..... all about the nutrition and struggling along in a state of disorientation whilst being feed crap because it helps us grow ... see I get it!
Hey Elizabeth, here is a link from a friend of mine who was at the race and took pictures, sort of the resident photographer of all our races. There was at least one of you in there: http://www.kodakgallery.com/lurch2b4/main/north_country_trail_run
And BTW, I know Tim Looney and Elissa who was there as well. They lived in GR for a while.
Awesome blog!
I was a straight distance runner, then found triathlon a few years back.
Lots of fun. I'm training for Manchester, Richmond or Philadelphia right now. Cannot decide which one I want to run.
Be Well!
