Silence

I don't know what is up but this week I have just not had the will to post or comment. I am reading and I will click to comment, but then I realize I've got nothing.

No clue what that's about. I think the looming cold weather and the early darkness probably are playing a part. Might also be this empty feeling I have since doing no excercise since Thanksgiving.

Anyways bear with me. I am sure I will be back up and posting in no time.

I've developed a similar pattern in the evenings, lacking the will to do much of anything. And I didn't just run 50 miles!

Your post sounds a little sad- hope you feel better soon. It's hard trying to comment when nothing comes out :-)

Loved your description of the JFK run part one. Can't wait to read part two.

E- I feel that way too sometimes. Usually when I'm way tired or stressd. Just let it go, no worries. It'll come back when you are ready. In the meantime, read away!

Yes. Some of us go through phases where we don't post for a week at a time or more! Don't sweat it.

It's too damn gray outside.

That's the problem.

Hey, I was thinking of doing this one - what do you think?

Think I can do it?

if it's not there, you feel silly forcing it. both posting and commenting. it's just a funky cloud. the weird haze between tgiving and xmas anyway.

i often find that my comments come when i'm away from the computer. when something i've read applies to what i'm doing now, but then i feel silly reposting. like... i can't help but think of someone snotting on me during the hawaii marathon. now who put that lovely thought in my head?!

I hope you're not too sad... We all have non-posting quiet times here and there.. I'm sure the weather plays a part in it. In fact I know it did for me when I was in MN...

Its that let down feeling after a big event in your life, when you haven't made any plans beyond that event, and so it is hard to get focused. Sign up for something, and you will get back on track.

2nd to all of the above... No worries, you'll be back. Bask in your success.

Take care - everyone gets into "quite modes". Mine was envoked by a pc with an attitude. But seriously, sometimes you just need to pull back into yourself for a bit. Nothing wrong with that - we'll be here with you back in the mood. Take care of you first. :)

The early nightfalls can play a bit of a role. Maybe you're finally comin' down from those 50 freakin' awesome miles. :-)

You'll be back. Hope everything else is OK.

You probably just need a break. Take it easy.

It's a drag. I left my old blog, set up a new one because I didn't like the aesthetics of my old one, and now, all of a sudden, I have no will to post. I suppose if I wouldn't comment so dang much (and so longwindedly, as in this one---sorry, btw), I might be a better blogger.

It happens. And it's been happening to me a lot recently. Everyone deserves a good break now and then.

Just got this "Thought for the day" thought you might like it.

Be Quiet
Have you ever wondered why libraries have special atmospheres? They are places where many congregate but where silence is the code. Quietness in an atmosphere means there is the presence of quiet minds, and quiet minds are not only relaxed, they can concentrate easily and create more freely. Imagine you are in the library of your mind, browsing the accumulated wisdom on the shelves of your life - listen to the silence, be aware of the stillness. Now you can really listen. Now you can really hear. Now you can really think. Now you can create. And behold, you are an artist. Did you not know that silence and creativity are lovers?

I do the same thing...sometimes I post and comment all the time, then sometimes I do nothing..ha. Great job at JFK - you are awesome. Get some rest and don't worry about posting or commenting - I'd say you deserve it!
