Unfinished House of Dreams. This in a the style "Arts and Crafts" the living room, dining room, breakfast nook, bathroom, and kitchen were all gorgeous. Unfortunately the bedrooms were not finished, the basement was a mess, and the garage and proch in back needed some serious work. If anyone has some money and time to sink into the place call me I will give you the info! It was really a nice house.

Tickled Pink

I fell asleep way too early last night. I was exhausted. So it wasn't too terrible that the kitties woke me up at 7:30 am this morning. I rolled out of bed and finally got around and went for a run just before 9. It was gorgeous out this morning. I took my mp3 player which miraculously fixed itself. (I have no idea how it did this, but I am very greatful!)

Had a good playlist going. Right now it just plays all of my songs in alphabetical order by title. It actually turned out to be a good mix for taking it easy this morning.

I did around 5.5 miles to Euclid Creek Reservation and back. Forgot how big that hill on Highland is! Took me 7 and a half minutes to get up it!

http://tinyurl.com/8syzf

I ran for 52.29 minutes so averaged just under 10 minute miles. Fine by me as I have to race at 7:35 pace tomorrow for almost 2 hours. YIKES!

I weighed myself before and after running today. In 52 minutes I managed to lose 1.5-2 pounds. NOT GOOD! So I need to hydrate a lot I guess. I even stopped and got a drink from the fountain at Euclid Creek. In retrospect I should have known I was getting dehydrated because I tryed to get water from the fountain 2 minutes from our apartment and looked pretty silly, it was coming out as a trickle so i kept hitting it and trying to shoot the short lived bursts into my mouth, I know I am weird

Today's Playlist: Not ideal for a tempo workout but good for a relaxing jog.

Rapture- Iio
Revolution- Grandaddy (I am Sam soundtrack)
Seven Nation Army- White STripes
State of Love and Trust- Pearl Jam
Strawberry Fields- Ben Harper (I am Sam)
Take it Off- The Donnas
The Distance- Cake
Tickled Pink- Tuscadero
Two of Us- Aimee Man (I am Sam)
We can Work it Out- Heather Nova (I am Sam)
What if you don't fly- Superdrag
Whatever gets you through the night- John lennon
Who Invited You- The Donnas
Working Man- Rush
You've Got to Hide your love away- Eddie Vedder (I am Sam)
Zwitter- Rammstein

We are off to look at houses! Let's hope for something exciting! Will post pics later!

I went to get my license plates off the truck today. As I was getting them the appraisal guy showed up. My truck is indeed a total loss. It is worth $9540 (not including the box, not sure how I am going to get that thing off of there, I am hoping I can get total loss department to include it in the worth). I still owe Ford Credit $5,696.18. So I am sure travelers is going to pay that off and hopefully send me a check for the rest (minus deductible of course). So hopefully everything will be crystal clear on Monday.

I pick up the focus Sunday night and Monday morning I am going to go through the painful process of signing over the title from out of state, getting an e-check, and getting new plates. You in fact cannot transfer pickup plates to a car, bummer.

Meanwhile I am still driving the rental car. The drive in today was scary, but I did okay on the way home.

Insurance on the focus starts monday so that is set, and my new cell phone should also be coming monday.

we look at houses tomorrow, woohoo!!!

Peace out!

Jon Stewart makes me smile

If you have not yet gone to comedy centrals website and watched the most recent daily show clips you should find time this weekend to do so.

I recommend Inarguable Failure, Meet the F**kers, and Hurricane aftermath.

We saw Jon Stewart live a few months ago, I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. No matter what side of the political barrier you are on this man is absolutely hilarious.

No word on the truck still. Also haven't heard back from my insurance agent about adding the focus to our plan. That needs to be done before the end of the day or it screws plans to pick that up Sunday.

Oh ho ho this made me smile

Found this over on Furian's Blog!!!

I totally forgot. At the park tonight I actually heard some lady complaining about living in North East Ohio.

Quote: "I know that they had it really bad with the flood down there, but we have it bad up here too, it is just spread out more. I mean we have blizzards and car accidents, at least down there they close businesses...blah blah blah."

I could not believe my ears. What a ridiculous statement. I mean how dare anyone compare a car accident and having to drive to work in Cleveland winter to losing a whole city. I think North East Ohio is probably one of the nicest and safest places to live in the whole country. (granted our economy blows right now, but give me a break)

Some people are just plain nuts.

I probably did not express my reaction to this clearly but it is what it is.

Sporadic Run

Driving to and from work today really sucked. A lady almost rear ended me on the way in and it set me off crying and I cried on the way home to. Blah.

I need a sign that says "I have been in two accidents in one week, please back the F&@k off!"

She was beeping at me and yelling the f bomb through her open window. It sucked. Wasn't my fault at all, I had my turn signal on for a good 30 seconds so she knew I was getting over (there was a parked vehicle so everyone was merging left and she was merging from behind me, apparently thought she was more important than everyone else in front of her) This wasn't even on the highway because I took Chester in to work today.

Tomorrow morning I am waking up earlier to get in before rush hour I hope.

I had a better drive home from the park, probably because the run calmed me down, and also traffic was much better.

My run was very sporadic, probably reflects this week. I ran for an hour and 13 minutes and went 8-9 miles.

The first 5 and a half miles I just hammered the whole time thinking why the heck are you running so fast? The 4.5 mile loop in there I haven't run in awhile, I think I used to do it in 42-45 minutes. Tonight I did it in 36. I decided to do a 10-20 minute cool down after that. Once I got in 11 minutes I grabbed my mp3 player from the truck. Then I did another 2 miles.

My mp3 player broke on the way back in and it isn't working still, I have to check tomorrow to see if it is still on warranty, that thing was not cheap!

Today I ordered a second cell phone. This way David and I will never be stuck without a cell phone like the other night again. Once we get that we will cancel our regular line I hope...although that may be an issue since we use dsl...anyone know about that?

I also tried to check on my student loan consolidation today since I haven't heard from them. Apparently I was ineligible...nice of them to let me know. Blah, so it looks like I am stuck at the new rates that are double what I was paying before :-/

Tomorrow I need to remove the truck from my insurance and add the focus. Hopefully that will go smoothly. Still haven't heard back about the truck, left three messages with the insurance claims agent, finally got fed up and called the impound lot, they said no one had come to see the truck. Anyone know if you can switch plates from a pickup to a car, I am guessing not...

I guess this accident has forced me to tie up a bunch of loose ends which is good. Tomorrow Randy is coming to visit YAY! And Saturday we go to see more houses woohoo! Sunday is river run half marathon, I am shooting for 1:40!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

P.S.

I forgot, hah when I went to check on our verizon account to add the second phone found out that this month I went 186 minutes over our peak minutes. We have never even come close to using them all so this is really bizarre. So that took my regular 47 bill up to 140.

I am becoming very good at figuring out creative ways to reorganize my budget around all these unexpected surprises.

Think we are ready for a house and all the unexpected surprises that come along with that????

Sigh

See below for pics of truck at the impound lot.

I am pretty sure that it is going to be totaled. I could be wrong. But I doubt it. I asked the guy at the lot if the frame was bent and he replied "Oh yeah, and your engines totaled, brakes are totaled, batteries totaled, etc. etc." To me if the frame is bent that is done.

But I will find out tomorrow after the appraisers look it over.

Good news is I survived driving the rental car to go get everything out of the truck. Better news is I am spoiled and my dad is the best in the world. He says if the truck has to get totaled that I can have his focus when he buys a new car in a week. It is totally paid off. So that means I would have an extra $250 a month with no car payment any more. Which means more money for a house!

I don't know how but I keep finding myself in positions of awe at how generous people can be. What could have been a very devastating accident for me is most likely not going to be that bad at all.

Thank you everyone that called or commented to let me know that you care. I can't thank you all enough for being such wonderful supportive friends. I have so many things to be so very grateful for.
